I’ll be brief here because I feel like it. Some characters in the book are a bit interesting, they have desires that I understand and stuff, they’re alright. Said characters have been sent on a mission to retrieve Lord Commissar Yarrik’s personal Baneblade, The Fortress of Arrogance, from some Orks who captured it. Some of our characters are aware how pointless this mission is, Yarrik could get another Baneblade, but the minisitorum needs that one specifically for propaganda, so thousands have to die to retrieve it. Orks are shown to be a bit horrific, its mentioned that they kept human slaves which I’d never heard of before and it’s a nice grimdark concept that I like. But yeah, the books a bit long, some characters aren’t that interesting, but I did end up enjoying it a bit.
