Eighteen-year-old Maya's cheating ex Jordy is famous now - his sister married a prince - and Maya is sick of seeing his face everywhere. So she agrees to participate in a teen reality dating show - in which Jordy re-dates his ex-girlfriends - to get revenge by rejecting him in front of the nation. Her fellow contestants include Skye, the girl Jordy cheated on her with. But as Maya navigates the show's challenges, she and Skye become surprisingly close.
Spending time with Jordy and Skye leaves Maya feeling torn. Is Jordy a good guy who made a mistake? Is there more than friendship between her and Skye? As the season finale approaches, can Maya execute her plan, or will she go off-script?
Very entertaining romcom story where two absolutely gorgeous women get to dump their constantly lying douchebag ex on public television, while head-over-heals falling for each other. The book kept me up all night and didn't let me sleep. Another plus: The author invented a conlang for this (Chalonian). Minus: It's not used very much, and probably it's not designed out that well.
