I like this one. There's a lot of pain in this story, and also lightness. It got a little too fairytale-ish for my taste at one point, but oooh, the ending. Mhm. The audiobook is very well read too.

I was having trouble with this at first. But now I think it's beautiful. I love that it's not one of those stories of how cruel nature is and how much you have to defend yourself against it. It's a story of how this girl's surroundings really, really want to see her alive and well, and help as much as they can to get her through a hard winter.

I wasn't totally in the right mood for it but I liked a lot about it. It's very slow for a long while and then there's a moment when I realised it was going to get pretty heavy. I liked the way in which it got heavy.
