Rebus is retired but still eager to assist with an investigation.

I especially liked "Understudies" by Greg Egan and "The Job Interview" by Carrie Vaughn.

An engaging story about life a generations or so after our modern civilization collapses. Good chapters about Enid growing up help flesh out the society and Enid's rule as an investigator. The story was so good that I stayed up very late to read it all in one sitting.

The story was was interesting but it fell apart at the end to me. The identity of the Chorus was a surprise but their actions didn't fit well to me.

The story and characters had me quickly hooked. Another great book from Peter Clines.

Great, mind-bending story.

A great third book in the series. Mallory and her friends work together to solve murders on a spaceship that has archived and then embodied the Internet along with hosting a convention. This time she's more experienced but things still don't go perfectly well.

The start of the book was slow reading for me but it picked up quickly. An interesting story of a valet robot that goes on a hero's journey and makes a friend along the way. #Bookstodon

The phrase "the encrypted carbons of past geological eras" is such a lovely way to refer to past carbon sources (coal? oil? ???) that have been sequestered and hidden away for long periods. #Bookstodon
