Arnold Thackray: Moore's Law: The Life of Gordon Moore, Silicon Valley's Quiet Revolutionary (2015)

A nerd's nerd.

I'm still a "Noyce Guy" at heart, but this was a fascinating and deeply personal portrait of Gordon Moore. His contributions to the fabrication process and chemical underpinnings of computing are indisputable. For a book with three (3!) authors this was a well-wreitten and extremely readable text.

The history of Silicon Valley was written by nerds, and Moore was a nerd's nerd.
