Another entry into the Old Man's War series by @scalzi@mastodon.social. Great stuff, as usual. The afterword is worth reading as the author goes into the challenges of writing "in the shadow" of a previous work or narrative (in this case it is a new perspective [Zoe's] on the events of "The Last Colony").
I'm still a "Noyce Guy" at heart, but this was a fascinating and deeply personal portrait of Gordon Moore. His contributions to the fabrication process and chemical underpinnings of computing are indisputable. For a book with three (3!) authors this was a well-wreitten and extremely readable text.
The history of Silicon Valley was written by nerds, and Moore was a nerd's nerd.
Not Leckie’s best, but that is still better than most stuff out there. #Radch

Another awesome chapter in the Old Man's War series. @scalzi@mastodon.social is a pro's pro: the story is tight and compelling, a great balance of background detail and plot-advancing action. Also, some really great ideas blended into the book. A fun read!

A pretty good prequel to the Slow Horses universe. Wish I'd clocked it earlier. Best read after "Real Tigers" and before "Spook Street".
